Same problem here. BMW 2022 with wireless charger. I put my week old iPhone 15 Pro on the charger and when I took it off the screen went white and I had to wait about an hour for it to restart. The message was about an emergency recovery. Then Apple Pay stopped working. Yesterday I received a replacement from Apple as the problem could not be resolved. Apple’s Genius Bar stated that “the Mobile Asset Inspector (Diagnostics) ran a diagnostic that identified issues with the Apple Pay sensor.”
Be careful not to jump to conclusions: The problem may not be specifically related to BMW and not necessarily related to the iPhone 15 Pro, but the consistency of the witness accounts is fascinating. It would also be interesting to know if other wireless chargers on the market are affected.

On our side, We tested wireless charging in many vehicles without any particular problems (but not yet on a BMW). On the other hand, it is warming up, we have measured oneabout 49/50 degrees in a Tesla Model 3 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max after about 30 minutes of charging! In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro Max did not reach more than 44 degrees…
