NFL: The Dolphins are no longer perfect

The Miami Dolphins are no longer part of the NFL’s perfect lineup as they were defeated 48-20 by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

At Highmark Stadium, the return to earth was pretty brutal for the Dolphins, who had won their first three meetings. The Bills completely dominated this encounter and even scored 31 points in the first half of the game.

The Florida representatives’ offense was much more discreet than a week ago, when the Dolphins (3-1) defeated the Denver Broncos 70-20. Above all, it is the brilliance of Josh Allen that overshadowed Tua Tagovailoa and his receivers.

The Bills (3-1) quarterback missed just four passes on 25 attempts and threw four aerial throws for touchdowns. Stefon Diggs crossed the pay zone three times with the ball. The pass catcher also prioritized quality over quantity and was only targeted six times but managed 120 yards of gains.

The Eagles were hot

On Philadelphia’s side, the Eagles (4-0) almost lost their perfect record, but Jake Elliott rescued the team in overtime with a 34-31 victory over the Washington Commanders (2-2).

The local favorite’s kicker had a lot of pressure on his shoulders after 10 minutes of overtime, but he scored his 54-yard field goal.

Just before the end of the fourth quarter, Sam Howell targeted Jahan Dotson in the red zone for the game-winning touchdown. However, in overtime the Commanders had to clean up after a series of incomplete passes.

After 10 plays and a few yards gained, the Eagles were able to put their special teams on the field.

Paid elevator

At Soldier Field, the Chicago Bears (0-4) and Broncos (1-3) were desperate to win for the first time this season, and the visitors emerged victorious by a score of 31-28.

The Broncos scored 21 unanswered points to come from behind. Almost perfect until then, Bears quarterback Justin Fields threw an interception to Kareen Jackson to seal the outcome of the game.

Like Allen, Fields threw four touchdown passes, but Chicago couldn’t slow the Broncos’ steamroller. Russell Wilson rebounded with three throws for the Majors and kicker Wil Lutz tied it with a 51-yard field goal with less than two minutes left.
