The technical director of the Venezuelan national team, Fernando Batista, has made official the list with the 28 called-up players who will represent Vinotinto in the next double date of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, where they will face Brazil and Chile for dates 3 or 4. After collecting three points in the first two dates of participation in the World Cup, the Argentine strategist will continue to push the development of the squad with the aim of achieving a historic first World Cup qualification with Venezuela.
The number of those called up is similar to that for the first games, among which the names Salomón Rondón, who scored the only Vinotinto goal in the win against Paraguay, Josef Martínez, Yeferson Soteldo, Yangel Herrera and Tomás Rincón stand out.

When will Venezuela play Brazil and Chile in the qualifiers?
Fernando Batista’s Vinotinto will play as a guest against Brazil in the third and fourth rounds of qualification at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá on Thursday October 12th and they will play against Chile as a home team at the Monumental Stadium in Maturín on Tuesday October 17th October.
