Brazil supports sustainable development at Expoaladi 2023 in Cuba

Cavalcanti pointed this out to Prensa Latina during the Macro Business Roundtable of the Latin American Integration Association (Aladi), which ended this Wednesday in Havana.

The Brazilian official, who leads a delegation of 20 businessmen from his country, mentioned the presence at the Pabexpo exhibition center in Havana, headquarters of the event, of the food, mineral and coconut water, industrial, cosmetics and cleaning products and construction sectors, shoes, fruits and other items .

This diversity of products, says Cavalcanti, shows that Brazil can support Latin America in the development of these industries.

On the other hand, he pointed to the recent establishment of cooperation between the Brazilian and Cuban governments in the field of small businesses, the transfer of technical knowledge and also the strengthening of trade relations.

In this sense, he pointed out that it is not just about selling Brazilian products in Cuba, but also about identifying Cuban products to bring them to the South American country.

The tenth edition of Expoaladi will take place in Havana, with the participation of 364 import and export companies from 13 Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The event represents an opportunity for Cuban companies whose commercial and financial activities are hampered by the tightened economic blockade imposed on the island by the United States more than six decades ago, which is significantly affecting the population of the largest of the Antilles.

The focus of the meeting is the exchange of goods in the sectors of agriculture and livestock, food and beverages, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, textiles, clothing and footwear, plastics, containers and packaging, which play a prominent role in the regional economy.

Likewise, communications, transport and tourism are important sectors for the development of trade relations between Aladi member states in terms of business services.
