Apple has released an iOS 17 system update that includes a solution to prevent the iPhone 15 series from becoming uncomfortably hot. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max would be particularly affected.

Apple has started rolling out iOS 17.0.3, just days after identifying overheating issues in its latest iPhones. As the release number indicates, iOS 17.0.3 is a minor update. It therefore does not contain any significant new functions.

iOS 17.0.3, build 21A360, is intended to fix a major overheating issue on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
