Giovanni Allevi back on tour. After illness which kept him away from the scene for more than a year, the musician will return to perform with his “Tour schedule only“. The artist’s official announcement is not yet available, but the organization of the event has already announced the dates: Allevi will perform in seven Italian cities in 2024. News that also gives hope for his health.

Events
Allevi’s “Piano Solo Tour” begins on February 12th in Parma and continues on February 15th at the Teatro Massimo in Pescara. On February 27th the pianist will play at the Gran Teatro Morato in Brescia, while on the 29th he will be on stage at the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua. On March 3rd the composer is expected at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, on April 12th at the Teatro di Varese, while the final concert will take place on April 27th at the Teatro dal Verme in Milan.
How is Giovanni Allevi?
In one of his last posts, Allevi suggested that he was on the road to recovery: “The moment when we meet again is getting closer and closer,” he wrote on Instagram. The emotions that we share in this magical moment called a concert are for me an impulse to look to the future, to dream of this stage, this applause, as if they were a celebration after the painful journey that I had to overcome.”
The disease: What is multiple myeloma?
The composer from Marche was diagnosed with one in 2022 Multiple myeloma, cancer that affects a specific type of bone marrow cells. This type of cancer arises from a type of white blood cell called plasma cells. Plasma cells are cells that help fight infections by producing antibodies that recognize, attack and destroy germs.
