Kevin Spacey, 64, beams as he leaves exclusive Mayfair club Oswald’s, just 48 hours after the Oscar winner was rushed to hospital due to health problems

Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey was pictured leaving private members’ club Oswald’s in Mayfair, just 48 hours after he was taken to hospital with health problems.

The 64-year-old Oscar winner looked relaxed as he left the west London venue last night. He wore a sports jacket and a baseball cap with the tongue-in-cheek slogan “Out of Office.”

On Tuesday, it was reported that Spacey was rushed to the hospital from a film festival in Uzbekistan after he felt his entire left arm “go numb for about eight seconds.”

It was feared the House of Cards star had suffered a heart attack, but after a series of tests, including an MRI, doctors gave the all-clear.

He fell ill on Monday while touring the Afrasiyab Museum in the ancient city of Samarkand and was taken to the Innova Diagnostic Clinic, where he received “professional treatment from doctors and staff.”

Mr Spacey later returned to the Tashkent International Film Festival, appearing on stage and telling the audience his health was “normal”.

The Oscar-winning actor added that the incident “made me take a moment and think about how fragile life is.”

Festival organizers announced that Mr. Spacey spoke about his “unexpected” health crisis during his speech at the festival’s closing ceremony on Monday.

“I was looking at these extraordinary murals and suddenly felt my entire left arm go numb for about eight seconds,” he told the crowd.

“I shook it off, but I immediately told the people I was with and we immediately went to the medical center.”

He told how he spent the afternoon undergoing “various tests”, adding that ultimately “everything turned out to be completely normal”.

The actor said he was “grateful” that it was not “something more serious,” adding that he was “pleasantly surprised” that there were “such qualified doctors” in Samarkand.

“Human life is very fragile and short, so everyone should live together and support each other,” he told the audience.

Mr Spacey also praised the festival as a place of “peace, progress and enlightenment”. The actor, who hosted a masterclass at the event the day before, stressed the importance of creating an environment where new ideas are encouraged.

He told the crowd: “The workshops that have taken place have allowed professionals to help young aspiring filmmakers learn and grow.” I know how incredibly important this is because I grew up with programs like this myself discovered the film for the first time.

“It is extraordinary that the Central Asian region is coming together, working together and offering this opportunity to so many people.” You should be proud of the work you are doing and it is an honor to stand with you here today and welcome you support.”

The actor also announced a self-described “comeback” and said his “best roles lie ahead of him,” The Sun reported.

Before his closing ceremony speech, Mr. Spacey gave a masterclass in which he answered questions from festival-goers.

Most aspiring filmmakers and actors asked the Oscar winner for advice on how to succeed in the entertainment industry.

One participant asked, “What does a girl from Uzbekistan have to do to get noticed by big American producers?”

Mr Spacey replied, according to the festival: “I am a person who grew up in a humble family and worked my way up.”

“I just believed that I would become a professional actor and I learned a lot to become one. So you have to believe in it too and work hard on yourself.”

He also encouraged aspiring filmmakers to delve into Uzbekistan’s “rich film history” and “watch as many films as possible.”

The actor was also asked about his own journey to success, which he said he “faced a lot of difficulties as a child.”

“However, I learned from my mistakes and attended film courses and theater,” he told the master class. “After playing various roles in films, I knew how lucky it is to be an actor and felt inspired to play different characters.

“It helped me a lot to overcome various problems in life.”

Mr Spacey’s appearance at the festival comes just months after he was acquitted of a series of sexual assault allegations.

Three men had accused the actor of aggressively grabbing their crotch, describing him as a “vicious” and “slippery, snake-like” predator.

A fourth, an aspiring actor, said he woke up to the actor performing oral sex on him after he fell asleep or passed out in Mr. Spacey’s London apartment, where he had gotten career advice and drank a beer.

Mr Spacey said he was a “big flirt” who had consensual affairs with men and whose only misstep was touching a man’s groin while making an “awkward pass”.

The allegations dated from 2001 to 2013 and covered a period during which Mr. Spacey – after winning Oscars for “The Usual Suspects” and “American Beauty” – returned to the theater. For most of this period he served as artistic director of the Old Vic Theater in London.

The men came forward after an American actor accused the actor of sexual misconduct as the #MeToo movement gained momentum in 2017.

Nine charges have been brought against Mr Spacey, including several counts of sexual assault and one count of inciting a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

Jurors in London deliberated for 12.5 hours over three days in July this year before reaching their verdict of acquittal.
