The Rocket Removes Nine Players

The Laval Rocket announced Friday that nine players have been removed from their training camp.

These are the attackers Isaac Dufort, Ty Smilanic, Alex-Olivier Voyer and Nolan Yaremko as well as the defenders Stanislav Demin, Eric Hjorth, Noah Laaouan, Andrew Nielsen and Christopher Merisier-Ortiz.

All of these players, with the exception of Dufour, Smilanic and Demin, will report to the Trois-Rivières Lions of the ECHL.

Dufort will play a fourth season in the QMJHL with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

For their part, Smilanic and Demin are likely to return to the United States. Last season they played at the University of Wisconsin and Merrimack College, respectively.
