Soapwatch with JACI STEPHEN: Stephen’s last murder victim?

CORONATION STREET

He’s given us a cocky smile, an accent more varied than a can of Quality Street, a wardrobe straight out of C&A’s men’s wardrobe circa 1974, a confusingly active sex life and several dead bodies.

What more could you ask for from a character? But as Stephen plans his escape, little does he know that the locals are starting to put the pieces together.

Carla becomes convinced that Stephen drugged her with LSD (if only the incompetent Dr. Gaddas had thought to run blood tests), while Tim’s attention is drawn to the channel. He pokes around in the water and runs to his taxi to report a body after a hand floats to the surface.

But guess who gets in the back seat? Yes, our friendly serial killer trying to strangle Tim with a tie.

Despite his escape, Tim stumbles and is killed by Stephen with a metal pipe. Have you noticed how many deadly objects happen to be nearby when Stephen needs them?

Will Tim set fire to the vehicle after dousing it in petrol while Tim is locked in the boot of his car (obviously the writers are overdosing on this all-too-familiar Emmerdale storyline)?

And what will DS Swain and Craig think of the human remains in the roof box when it is towed out of the murky waters of the canal? Yes, it’s the ever-present Craig in the middle of the action again. Does he never get a day off?

After Sarah reveals her uncle’s litany of misbehavior, Stephen is confronted by the Platts and attacked by Peter. But Audrey arrives and sends Peter away before accusing Stephen of stealing her house. Elaine says that Stephen murdered everyone who got in his way, and Sally is horrified when she realizes that Tim was such a person. Will DS Swain manage to intercept Stephen at the airport and will everyone be too late to save Tim?

I suspect that Tim is too great a character to be a murder victim. He and Sally are one of the best pairings the series has ever seen; Without him the whirlpool and winter garden would be lost.

Corrie’s Todd Boyce says he was “very emotional” filming his final scenes as Stephen, although he was happy to leave his brown leather jacket behind: “I hated it at the end.” You and me both.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. That’s what Mack will find out when he and Charity hug in an unguarded moment and are discovered by Chloe. Mack and Chloe set off on vacation with the intention of moving to Scotland permanently, and Chloe drives while Mack remains oblivious to her mental state.

When they find Charity stranded on the side of the road, Chloe offers to give her a ride. A broken car is never a good sign in Emmerdale. This means that either (a) there is a kidnapping victim in the trunk or (b) someone is about to be mugged. It’s never as easy as someone forgetting to do their MOT.

Chloe deliberately goes in the wrong direction towards the moors, where she plans to leave her nemesis and Mack behind in the middle of nowhere. The moors are never a good sign either; It never means taking a walking tour of the Brontë sisters’ landmarks.

When a car hits them and they get stuck on a cliff, Mack escapes, but is now faced with a dilemma when the car begins to slip: which woman does he try to save first? They’re both trouble, Mack. Just give the car a gentle push. Problem solved.

Mack’s desperate girl dilemma

Who does Emmerdale’s Lawrence Robb think his character Mack will try to save first after the crash that leaves both Chloe and Charity in danger?

“He loves both,” says Lawrence, “but my advice would be, ‘Don’t even put yourself in that position.’ It’s not an easy decision and is very similar to Sophie’s decision. I think viewers will be like, ‘Wow!’ Let’s just say I wouldn’t be friends with Mackenzie if he were a real person.”

A kiss on the cheek and Keanu’s left body swayed

Where does Dorian get the huge bouquet of flowers for Sharon? Keanu is upset when he sees Dorian delivering them and gives him a kiss on the cheek

Why are bouquets in Walford so much better than in Corrie’s Weatherfield? The latter has Preston’s petals, yet most people rely on the half-withered flowers outside Dev’s shop.

Where does Dorian get the huge bouquet of flowers for Sharon? Keanu is upset when he sees Dorian delivering it, along with a kiss on the cheek (how can he get any closer given those lashes? Scissors?) and decides to take Albie for the day without letting Sharon run away. When she threatens to call the police, they return just in time, but there is a huge row.

You have to feel sorry for the children in Albert Square. Albie has become a pawn in Sharon and Keanu’s game, Tommy is pushed into boxing (a boy who would obviously have a hard time punching a bubble of bubble wrap), and Nugget has run away from Ravi.

It’s a busy week for the police when Ravi goes to them after a text message from Nugget and asks if they can trace his location. They assume that the text could be a fake. Of course they do. Anything else would smell like hard work. These people need a nap after arresting a released dog.
