Gwyneth Paltrow admitted to her Instagram followers during an Instagram Q&A on Thursday that she’s had Botox — which was both “successful and unsuccessful.”

The 51-year-old Goop founder, who recently gushed about ex Chris Martin’s longtime partner Dakota Johnson, was asked by one of her fans, “Have you ever tried Botox?”

In response to the question, the Oscar winner typed on her Instagram Stories: “God yes. Both successful and unsuccessful, I’m afraid.”

Another social media user asked the actress, “How does your skin look so good?” Paltrow expressed that she is “very conscientious about my skin care routine.”

The star has been open over the years about her skin care routine and her opinions on aging.

During a conversation with Refinery29 in 2020, the Iron Man actress revealed, “In the past, I’ve never said that I won’t have plastic or cosmetic surgery because I think it’s important to be honest about that fact remain that we all change as we age.’

While she doesn’t currently use Botox, Gwyneth has admitted that she has used another injectable called Xeomin, which is also FDA-approved and is referred to as a “naked injectable.”

“I never want to look younger or like myself,” the businesswoman further told the outlet at the time.

She then recalled: “When I turned 40 I had something of a midlife crisis and had anti-wrinkle injections all over my face and it was terrible.”

“I looked terrible – one eye was actually higher than the other – and it was definitely a big mistake, although thankfully only a temporary one.”

On the subject of cosmetic surgery, she told Harper’s Bazaar: “I think it’s nice for women to share their opinions because surgery, injections or fillers are very shameful and it would be nice if people had confidence in the decisions they make.”‘

“But if they want a beauty secret, that’s fine too.” “I’m an open book – I’ve shared what works for me because that’s how I’ve always learned.”

Gwyneth also discussed her skincare routine and the treatments she prefers when she spoke to Vogue earlier in July this year.
