Sputnik Brazil Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strategy of banking on the West’s fatigue and continuing to help Ukraine has borne fruit. The statement comes from the North American publication Business Insider.

“There are increasing signs that he was right. “Ukraine is failing to meet its military recruitment goals, its economy is collapsing under the weight of war, and support for large amounts of aid to Ukraine is waning, both in the U.S. and Europe,” said former CIA Director of Russian Affairs Analysis George Beebe.

The analyst noted that Russian strategy ultimately plays an important geopolitical role. The farright parts of the Republican Party in the US House of Representatives not only opposed the impeachment of Congressional President Kevin McCarthy, but even pushed for it.

Meanwhile, in Europe, politicians who refuse to help Kiev are gaining ground. In Slovakia last week, the party defending the end of Kiev aid won parliamentary elections, while in Germany the Alternative for Germany (AfD) political movement surpassed current Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s party in popularity.

Even if the European resource transfer continues, EU Foreign and Security Policy Commissioner Josep Borrell said it will not be enough without the US dollar source, which is “on the verge of drying up”.

CONTINUED AFTER RECOMMENDATIONS

Russia has repeatedly expressed its readiness for peace talks, but the Ukrainian authorities have banned such talks at the legislative level.
