Rihanna’s choreographer appears to hit back at Drake following the rapper’s “diss track” by posting a throwback of the singer rejecting his attempted kiss at the awards show

Rihanna’s choreographer has come to her defense after Drake appeared to take several swipes at the singer in the scathing lyrics of his newly released song “Fear Of Heights.”

The Umbrella hitmaker, 35, and the rapper, 36, were hit with romance rumors from 2009 to 2018, and since their last split there has been speculation that Drake hasn’t gotten over her.

However, on his new song, Drake insisted he had moved on, taunting: “Why does it sound like I’m still stuck with you? That could never be.”

He added: “Gyal can’t ruin me,” which came across as if it were a derogatory reference to Rihanna’s accent from her native Barbados.

As the song continued, he tersely said that “your sex was average” and even seemed to take aim at her current relationship with A$AP Rocky.

“Better him than me, better than me,” Drake raps. “Yes, that man, he is still with you.” He can’t leave you. You’re all going on holiday, I bet it’s the Antilles.’

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have actually vacationed in the Lesser Antilles more than once and taken several couple trips to Barbados.

The couple has since welcomed two children together, which may be why Drake says A$AP Rocky “can’t leave” her.

Elsewhere in “Fear Of Heights,” Drake belts out, “I’m anti, I’m anti,” possibly in reference to Rihanna’s latest album, “Anti,” released in 2016.

After a barrage of bile toward his ex, who remains nameless throughout the verse, he insists, “And I’ve had a lot worse assholes than you, honestly.”

While Rihanna didn’t respond to the “diss track,” dancer Parris Goebel, who has frequently collaborated with the star and choreographed her Super Bowl halftime performance, spoke out on her behalf.

Parris took to her Instagram Stories to share a throwback of Drake leaning in to kiss Rihanna at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

The moment went viral seven years ago after Drake confessed his love for Rihanna and presented her with the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

He told the audience: “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old.” She’s one of my best friends in the world. I’ve looked up to her my entire adult life, even though she’s younger than me.”

Rihanna then went to give him a kiss on the cheek as she accepted the award, while Drake appeared to give her a proper kiss, but she pulled away and said something unintelligible.

In 2018, Rihanna spoke to Vogue about her relationship after rejecting his kiss at the VMAs.

She said: “Waiting for this speech was probably the most unpleasant part.” I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like being kept on my toes.

Then she added: “We’re not friends now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”

Drake and Rihanna were first spotted locking lips in 2009, shortly after she split from Chris Brown, who beat her so badly that she had to be hospitalized.

Rihanna eventually briefly got back together with Chris and publicly claimed that she and Drake were just friends.

A wounded Drake told The New York Times in 2010, “I was a pawn.” Do you know what she did to me?

“She did exactly what I’ve done to so many women in my life, which is give them a good time and then disappear.” I thought, “Wow, that feels terrible.”

The following year he told Elle: “It hurt at the time, but she didn’t mean to. “I’ll never do that to her. I was hurt because I was starting to realize what it was.’

Over the next few years, he adopted a flowery tone in his public statements about Rihanna, describing her to Rolling Stone in 2014 as his “ultimate fantasy.”

In 2016, the two got matching shark tattoos, reinforcing the public perception that their relationship was more than just platonic until Rihanna’s Vogue commentary appeared two years later.
