Chile will present ecological buses for the first time in Santiago 2023

Santiago de Chile.- ONE FLEET 10 double-decker electric buses will debut in Chile to cover an important route to the National Stadium, the official venue of the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago.

The capital’s new public transport systems are 12 meters long and just over four meters high and will be equipped with air conditioning and an internet signal.

You’ll make a 26-kilometer journey from the Pajaritos metro station in the west of the capital, traveling along Avenida Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins, better known as La Alameda. You continue south via Vicuña Mackenna until you reach the National Stadium.

The Minister of Transport, Juan Carlos Muñoz, pointed out that in sporting events of this category, many people are concentrated in one place and therefore public mobilization has a special role.

“We will have an iconic and special service operating with these unique buses in our region,” the official said.

Jaime Pizarro, Head of Sports, assured that this will be a wonderful postcard for local and visiting athletes and also an important benefit for the community.

Likewise, Harold Mayne-Nicholls, Managing Director of the Santiago 2023 company, commented on the importance of the mobilization network to bring the population closer to the Games in a comfortable, safe and environmentally friendly way.
