A federation official told someone close to CM Punk that it would be best for him to speak directly to Vince McMahon about a return to WWE. Several people close to CM Punk contacted by Fightful believe CM Punk will sign with WWE. On this topic, a member of the creative team says that there are enough CM Punk promos and interviews that anything could become a CM Punk reference.
People close to CM Punk claim the wrestler has openly shared with them his desire to return to WWE. One of them is sure that CM Punk will return to the company if WWE is interested in him.
