The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have traded forwards Emil Heineman and Mattias Norlinder to the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League (AHL).
The club announced this on Monday before daily training.
Heineman, 21, joined the Rockets in the final moments of the 2022-2023 season. With seven goals and two assists for nine points in eleven games, he left a very good impression. The Swede was acquired by the Habs from the Calgary Flames in February 2022. He was one of the players he received in return for Tyler Toffoli.
Norlinder, for his part, is a third-round pick (64th overall) of the Canadiens in the 2019 draft. He has primarily worn the Rocket’s colors over the past two seasons. In the 2021–2022 season, he played six games and received one assist in six games for Sainte-Flanelle.
