Gwyneth Paltrow has been criticized after revealing she uses the Best Actress Oscar statuette as a doorstop. The actress won the category in 1999 for her performance in “Shakespeare in Love.” At that time she was fighting for the title with Fernanda Montenegro, who played in Central do Brasil.
The American surprised the public with her confession during an interview with Vogue. In the video she introduces her fans to her home and in one of the scenes shows the statuette on the floor.
