The last laugh was Rich Paul when he made a joke about Stephen A. Smith’s sister Carmen.
During an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of “First Take,” the Klutch Sports CEO jokingly accused Smith of being “jealous” because Carmen loves him.
“You’re jealous,” Paul said repeatedly after Smith accused him of “never listening” when the two talked about basketball.
“Let me tell you what you’re jealous of, because Carmen loves Rich. That’s why you’re jealous of Stephen A.”
Then Smith grinned and pointed at Paul.
“My sister,” he said. “Oh, that’s a low blow you just pulled off on national television, but I’m letting it slide because I need her to cook something for me tonight and I don’t want to get on her bad side.”
It was great fun between Smith and Paul, who joined the show to promote his new book, “Lucky Me: A Memoir of Changing the Odds,” about how he became NBA superstar LeBron at 21 Met James at an airport and how their friendship developed into a multi-billion dollar sports and entertainment company.

Smith has praised Paul on the radio and the two have traded jokes over the years.
Smith, who keeps his personal life rather private, has spoken about his sister on television several times.
Carmen joined the ESPN personality at the debut of his ESPN show “NBA in Stephen A’s World” in October 2022.

Smith and Paul made headlines last month after the NBA superagent referred to a story Smith told publicly about an exchange between the two as “cap.”
The ESPN host claimed he told Paul to “get my shit out of my face” over an argument about James and Michael Jordan, but Paul said that story wasn’t true.
