Rich Paul believes white American athletes don’t trust black sports agents, he said on a radio show Tuesday.
Paul, famously the longtime agent of LeBron James, has created a basketball empire through his Klutch Sports Group that represents many other players throughout the NBA.
Still, there’s a certain demographic he can’t seem to crack.
“I was talking to a friend of mine who works in sports and he said that Rich Paul is so successful that white athletes and white families don’t trust a black sports agent,” Clay Cane told Paul on “The Clay Cane Show.” ‘
“So I wanted to know, is that your – is that an accurate statement?”

Paul mentioned that he has a white European client – Bosnian Jusuf Nurkic
“That’s true, yes,” Paul replied.
“It’s not international players because international players actually have a different attitude about it…” But if you grew up in Indiana or Georgia or, you know, Oklahoma or even Ohio. Yeah no.’
“You would think there would be a snake down the street, but that’s not the case. Yes.’
Paul mentioned that he has a white client – Jusuf Nurkic of the Suns, who is from Bosnia.

The 41-year-old’s agency has become a major player in the NBA, with clients including players like Trae Young, De’Aaron Fox and Anthony Davis.
Paul has also been in a relationship with pop star Adele since 2021.
