Intel’s mid-range model Arc A580 is conspicuously missing from the product range. The mid-range card was intended to launch as an alternative to the Radeon RX 7600, and recent leaks have confirmed this assumption. The desktop graphics card is now official and available worldwide starting at $189.
The Intel Arc A580 has 8GB of VRAM with 24 Xe cores and 24 ray tracing units. Intel says it runs at 2.0 GHz, which is much higher than the 1.7 GHz listed in the spec sheet. Other features include a total memory bandwidth of 512 GB/s (256-bit bus) and a TGP of 185 watts. This should make it an attractive option for 1080p gaming, especially when paired with an affordable processor like the Core i3-13100.
When it comes to raw performance, Intel hasn’t shown much. Instead, he focused on the Arc A580’s performance with its XeSS image upscaling technology, which boosts performance by an average of 63% across 12 different titles. For developers, the Arc A580 features a dedicated AV1 encoder and an integrated AI accelerator. Arc Control now has a studio feature for streamers.
