The Executive Board of the Peruvian Olympic Committee appointed Gladys Tejeda and Nicolás Pacheco as flag bearers of our country this year at the opening ceremony of the event, which will take place from October 20 to November 5. in the Chilean capital.
Gladys Tejeda, gold medalist in the women’s marathon at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, and Nicolás Pacheco, skeet shooting athlete and Olympic graduate at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, will have the honor of carrying the flag at the ceremony that will take place as a stage the National Stadium from Chile.
“It is an honor for the country that athletes, an example of sacrifice and achievement, are the flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the Continental Games. All of Peru will follow the achievements of the more than 200 athletes who will wear the red and white flag on their chest,” said COP President Renzo Manyari.

Elías, for his part, won the Price Silver at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto and the gold medal in Lima 2019. Today he is in second place in the world rankings and has achieved relevant success in all disciplines Championships high level.
