Gigi Hadid wanted to publicly express her opinion on the Hamas attack on Israel that was launched on October 7th.

For the supermodel it is an “unjustifiable tragedy”.
With these words she began her long message on Instagram.
“My thoughts are with everyone affected by this unjustified tragedy and innocent lives lost every day to this conflict, including too many children.” I have deep compassion for the problems facing Palestinians and their lives under the occupation , it is a responsibility that I carry every day. I also have a responsibility to my Jewish friends to say clearly, as I have done before, that while I have hopes and dreams for the Palestinians, hurting a single person is not one of them. On October 7, Hamas launched its attack in Israel.
The number so far shows 1,200 dead, 2,700 injured, several “disappeared or hostages” on the Israeli side and 900 dead and more than 4,500 injured on the Palestinian side.
The invasion began with a rocket attack at 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning, followed by Hamas militants taking to the streets at an electronic music festival and breaking into civilians’ homes.
“Terrorizing innocent people is not OK and does not benefit the Free Palestine movement.” The idea that this is the case has only fueled the painful cycle of back-and-forth reprisals for decades (none of which has targeted an innocent civilian, neither Palestinian nor Israeli who deserves sacrifice) and “this helps perpetuate the false idea that being pro-Palestine = anti-Semitic,” she added.
