The recovered evidence includes several pieces of the submersible’s wreckage, including the ship’s 6.7meterlong titanium tailgate, which were “successfully transferred to a North American port for cataloging and analysis.”, says the statement. “Additional suspected human remains were carefully recovered from the Titan’s wreckage and transported for analysis by U.S. medical professionals.”
The recovery mission, conducted under an existing agreement with the U.S. Navy Diving and Salvage Supervision, was a continuation of the initial recovery operations following the implosion of the Titan submersible.
Investigators from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Canadian Transportation Safety Board participated in the rescue expedition as part of their respective safety investigations.
The MBI is coordinating with the NTSB and other international investigative agencies to plan a joint review of evidence from the recovered Titan debris. This review session will help determine next steps for necessary forensic testing. The MBI will continue to examine evidence and interview witnesses ahead of a public hearing into the tragedy

Remember the case
The Titan submersible tragedy occurred on June 18 during an expedition to observe the Titanic wreck in the Atlantic Ocean. The ship belonged to the OceanGate company and all five occupants died after what was believed to be a “catastrophic implosion” of the submersible at a depth of around 3,800 meters.
