I have a 2016 Ford Mustang GT convertible with the performance package. I love the vehicle and its performance. It has 100,000 km on the clock and has proven to be reliable so far. Fuel consumption is reasonable on the road (10.6 L/100 km at an average speed of 120 km/h). The manual transmission is very comfortable and is in no way inferior to the others. But no car is perfect. The interior is of below average quality. The paint is thin, so thin that the front section was repainted. A protective film is more than necessary for this model. –Patrick B.
I have a 2006 Mustang manual transmission convertible that I purchased new. I drive it five months a year and it is always stored in winter. After 18 seasons and 287,000 km on the clock, I can say that it is a reliable vehicle with low maintenance costs and relatively economical fuel consumption (10 L/100 km). Apart from the tires and the battery there is nothing to report. I had the front brakes replaced the first time at 150,000 miles…at my mechanic’s insistence (they were still fine). This year the water pump ($170 for the part) was replaced and the clutch is starting to slip. This car provides me with the services I bought it for, not to mention the two car seats that allow me to take my grandchildren with me for as long as needed. However, I wouldn’t drive it in winter. –Richard L.
I have a 2019 Mustang Bullit. I’ve entered my fifth season (I store it in the winter) and I’m still very happy. Great looks, comfort and performance are all there. On the other hand, I had to change the front tires after 28,000 km. The engine oil level must be monitored. According to a Ford dealer, this would be common with this type of engine. Who knows ! The consumption is high, but I knew that before I bought it. The resale value is excellent, but I don’t plan on selling it! – Andre G.
