Cher, 77, opened up about her love life – and specifically her boyfriend Alexander AE Edwards, 37.
The music legend said she was “not surprised” by the public interest in her relationship, she told People.
“It’s never too late,” the icon added, when it comes to finding love.
“No matter what happens, I just love being with him.” He makes me laugh and we have fun. “I learned that it’s never too late.”
“When you’re happy, you can’t think about how long it’s going to last. You have to think about, ‘How does it feel?’ and live in the moment.”
The star revealed via text that she fell in love with him after a mutual friend gave him her number.

The living legend surprised herself to find love with someone younger than her, something she thought wouldn’t happen.
“I had told all my friends, ‘We’re too old to date really younger men and I’ll never fall in love over text.’ So I did what I wasn’t supposed to do!”
Cher said they first met “for about 15 minutes” during a Paris Fashion Week event in September 2022.
After they met, she said a mutual friend gave him her phone number.
“It was really shocking because people just don’t give out my number,” the artist explained.
However, Cher revealed that she decided to break her rule of not dating younger men “because he’s just special.”
“I hate when people say people are special, but a lot of people say I’m special, so I can say he’s special,” Cher said.
“No matter what happens, I love being with him.” He makes me laugh and we have fun. I’ve learned that it’s never too late. If you wrote down all the stats, you’d say, “Well, that’s doomed.” But we’ve been together for a year and if it was just a year, it would have been worth it. “I had the best time,” she added.

Cher noted that she isn’t surprised that people are interested in their relationship.
“Alexander has diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair and is much younger.” He is a beautiful man. Plus, I think it’s fun to be interested in someone’s love life!’
Cher is set to release her first Christmas album titled “Christmas” on October 20th.
Alexander, who is a producer, produced her song Drop Top Sleigh Ride.
“He’s a great producer. I had him do drop top sleigh. That’s a difficult thing when you’re in love with someone and then you say, “OK, here, take this record and do whatever you want with it.” But I had faith. and I was so excited,” she said.
Cher and Alexander were first spotted together in November 2022 while out and about with his boyfriend Tyga in Los Angeles.
