After a day of new promises of military aid to Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked his allies. “Our main focus is to strengthen our air defense and the most important tools at the front, artillery and long-range systems,” Zelensky said in his video message yesterday.
Zelenskyy reported to his compatriots about the negotiations in Brussels. He participated in the meeting of supporting countries in the Ramstein format. He also met with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, new US Chief of Staff Charles Brown and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The Belgian government has promised F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
“So it was a strong day!” said Zelensky. “Belgium, thank you! To all Ramstein allies: Thank you! I am grateful to the United States for its leadership and support! Every day our soldiers and all our people grow stronger.” Ukraine has been repelling a Russian invasion for nearly 20 months.
