80.6 percent of Nicaraguans support the leadership of Daniel Ortega

According to the public opinion survey for the third quarter of 2023, 89.4 percent of respondents assured that the executive branch guarantees them hope, while 10.2 percent said the opposite.

The poll found that 80.6 percent of respondents believe the Sandinista National Liberation Front government is democratic and abides by the country’s laws, while 80.2 percent believe it is leading the nation in the right direction leads.

The survey, conducted at the national level, also highlights the high level of satisfaction (88.5 percent) of Nicaraguans regarding the various services offered by the executive branch to ensure the well-being of the population.

In this sense, the information states that between 92.8 and 92.6 percent of those who expressed their opinion expressed satisfaction with the health, education and energy services.

With regard to the construction and maintenance of roads, long-distance transport, drinking water, public lighting, security and employment opportunities, population satisfaction ranges between 95.2 and 78.2 percent.

The majority of Nicaraguans surveyed (91.6 percent) believe the Central American nation has made progress, while 5.6 percent believe it has and 2.6 percent believe it has regressed .

The analyst Xavier Díaz-Lacayo told the press that these results were due to five important factors, including the government’s knowledge and sensitivity to the country’s problems, technical and humanistic interpretation, timely solution, communication with citizens and the inspiration of trust towards unity.

“The fight against poverty, a welfare model that deviates from capitalism, the quality of public services, sovereign and dignified relations with world powers such as China, and the priority of peace, stability and citizen security are valued,” the analyst said.
