For the first time since its attack on the Jewish state, Hamas says it has released hostages. “An Israeli settler and her two children have been released after they were arrested during clashes between the movement and the Israeli army,” the movement’s armed wing wrote in a press release issued on the evening of Wednesday, October 11th.

A video immediately broadcast by Palestinian television channel Al-Aqsa shows a woman in a blue shirt with two children and three armed Hamas fighters walking away from a barbed wire area. The Israeli army has not yet confirmed this information. The date and place of publication were not specified.

In response to attacks on the Gaza Strip, Hamas threatened to execute Israeli hostages on Monday evening. “Every time our people are attacked without warning, it will result in the execution of one of the civilian hostages,” he threatened. According to the Israeli government, almost 150 people were kidnapped.
