Two days after the Rasmus Dahlin case was resolved, the Buffalo Sabers offered defenseman Owen Power a seven-year contract extension on Wednesday.
The very first pick in the 2021 draft has signed an agreement that allows him to receive a total of $58.45 million, or $8.35 million per year.
Recall that Dahlin signed an eight-year contract worth a total of $88 million.
When he returns to Power, he will see his rookie contract expire between 2023 and 2024. The 20-year-old Ontario native has scored six goals and added 32 assists for 38 points in 87 career National League games. He also maintained a +13 rating.
