Matthew Perry is begging Elon Musk to invent a new groundbreaking outdoor gadget – and his fans agree

His iconic Friends character was known for his comical complaints and rants.

And Matthew Perry appeared to be inspired by Chandler Bing on Wednesday when he took to Instagram to complain about a common outdoor nuisance.

The 54-year-old film and television star, who had previously remained silent on the platform for almost six months, returned with a photo of what looked like part of his backyard to get something off his chest.

He called Elon Musk, latecomer, co-founder of Tesla and owner of X (recently renamed by Twitter), to help him find a technical solution to his lawn problems.

“Why can Elon Musk send a woman to the moon without inventing a silent leaf blower?”

In his photo, Matthew showed what looked like a lawn care worker tending to some of his plants and soil in a sparsely planted area at the edge of his property, just above a white wall.

The photo featured a beautiful green stretch of lawn as well as towering trees and bushes that offered the actor some privacy.

Surprisingly, Matthew’s landscaper omitted the dreaded leaf blower, even though it may have been neighboring properties causing the deafening noise.

The comic star received plenty of support from his fans and followers who chimed in in the comments.

A celebrity friend, Oscar winner Allison Janney, was on the same page.

‘Seriously!!! 🙌🏻,” she wrote, adding a raised hands emoji.

Matthew’s post also referenced one of Chandler’s classic lyrics to “Friends.” It wasn’t clear if he remembered the reference, but his fans definitely did.

In one episode, Chandler told Joey (Matt LeBlanc) that he had “your answering machine,” to which Joey replied, “Your answering machine?”

But others were simply shocked that he had even returned to Instagram and that loud leaf blowers were the first thing he wanted to post about.

“My husband literally posted after almost 6 months just to complain about the noise of the leaf blower!!! Just Matthew Perry Things 😂,” they wrote.

“Everyone shut up MATTHEW PERRY posted on Instagram,” one fan gushed.

Some also criticized the actor for his seemingly minor complaint, particularly his privilege as he didn’t do the lawn work himself.

“Because he has people cleaning his lawn 😂,” another person commented.

Elon Musk may not have been the best choice to create a new quiet leaf blower.

Although Musk is listed as a co-founder of Tesla – of which he is also CEO and former chairman – the company was founded in 2003, a year before he became an angel investor with a $6.5 million investment.

Only after an agreement was reached to resolve a 2009 lawsuit filed by one of the two original co-founders, ousted CEO Martin Eberhard, was Musk allowed to call himself a co-founder of the company.

Last year he acquired Twitter for $44 billion after trying to back out of an initial deal and then relenting when Twitter sued him.

Since taking over, Musk has laid off most of the social network’s employees and renamed it X.

U.S. advertising revenue at Twitter has fallen every month in the year since Musk took control of the service, according to third-party data provided to Portal.
