After agreeing to talk about their love in this magazine for the first time last year, Serge Laprade, 82, once popular singer and famous TV presenter, and Daniel Arsenault, 69, his business partner and life partner for 50 years, invited us for her wedding.

“First of all, we didn’t want to ignore this important period in our relationship,” Serge said. At the age I have reached, and given the movement we are currently in, I felt it was time to step out in public and get married. I had two lives: my artistic life and my personal life. Because I didn’t hide it from those around me over the years, I was often asked to talk about it publicly, but I always refused. Since I have spent most of my life in public, I wanted to preserve this part of my secret garden. At the beginning of my career, I didn’t want to disturb my family; Back then it was out of respect for my audience. So I created a character for myself that was me, but without that part of my personal life,” he told our journalist.
