Cher denies orchestrating son Elijah’s kidnapping

Cher denies that her son Elijah Blue Allman was kidnapped to keep him away from drugs.

In an interview with People, the Believe singer addressed the recent rumor that she hired four men to kidnap her son from a New York hotel room where he was with his wife Marieangela King on their wedding day in November 2022 The latter’s allegations were revealed last month and stem from a hearing held in December as part of their ongoing divorce.

In his interview with People, the 77-year-old star disputed this version of facts, calling it “false.” She then spoke about her relationship with her 47-year-old son.

“I do not suffer from any problem that does not affect millions of people in the United States (…) I am a mother. It’s my job, one way or another, to try to help my children. You do everything for your children. Whenever you can help them, do it because that’s what being a mother is. But there is joy even if there is sadness. Most of the time you smile when you think about your children, love them and try to be there for them. »

In her testimony, Marieangela King said her mother-in-law was concerned about Elijah Blue Allman’s health. “On November 30, 2022, the evening of our wedding anniversary, four people came to our hotel room and took (Elijah) out of our room. One of the four men who kidnapped him told me that (Elia’s) mother had hired them,” she said.
