What is “The Iron Claw” about?

Written and directed by Sean Durkin (“The Nest”), the sports biopic tells the true story of the Von Erich brothers, who rose to fame in the competitive world of professional wrestling in the 1980s.

As the oldest and middle brothers, sporty Kevin (Efron) and Kerry (Allen White) are their father’s favorites. It’s a status that comes with high expectations as they face the harsh demands and futile ambitions of their father, who pushes them to carry on the legacy he created as a wrestler in his own right two decades ago.

But their rise to superstardom is plagued by the myth of a curse placed on the Von Erichs, as the family is beset by one tragedy after another. Today Kevin is the only living Von Erich of his generation.
