‘Bigfoot’ was caught on camera during a couple’s romantic getaway in Colorado

A couple believes a mythical creature has joined them on their romantic getaway in Colorado.

“It’s story time, folks,” Shannon Parker said in a Facebook post, claiming she and her husband Stetson, who were celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, saw Bigfoot strolling down a mountainside in the middle of the day.

She said they were on a train between Durango and Silverton in southwestern Colorado when they reportedly spotted the legendary, elusive creature.

“As we pass the mountains, Stetson sees something moving and then says I think it’s Bigfoot,” Shannon, 44, wrote in her Facebook post.

“He was at least six feet tall or taller. “It was so in keeping with the mountain sage that it seemed camouflaged when it was crouched,” Shannon told the New York Post. “If you had asked before our trip, we would have said maybe [Bigfoot] could be real, but now we’re convinced.

“Out of the hundreds of people on the train, three or four of us actually saw what Stetson said in the video,” Shannon wrote on Facebook. “The ever-elusive creature Bigfoot! I don’t know about you, but We Believe!! (sic)”

She told the Post that the platoon commander said there had been similar, non-human sightings before.

“He said that he had snowshoeed in these mountains before and had seen footprints that were larger and had a much larger stride than what snowshoes would have allowed,” Parker said.

“He also saw inexplicable things.”

The Washington State National Guard released a description of the creature in a blog post titled “Legend of Bigfoot.”

“The legends of Bigfoot extend beyond recorded history and span the globe,” the Washington National Guard wrote. “In North America—and particularly in the Northwest—you can hear stories of six-foot-tall, hairy men roaming the forest, occasionally scaring campers, loggers, hikers, and the like.”

The National Guard explained that there are several different names, including Sasquatch.

“Those who claim to have seen Bigfoot have described everything from a large, upright ape to an actual hairy human, sometimes over six feet tall and described as powerfully built.

“The debate and research continues. There are entire organizations that study and document Bigfoot and prove its existence, and groups regularly scour the forests of the Northwest in search of the ultimate proof.”
