Gaul Hall

Located in downtown’s Lafayette Square, Gallier Hall is a beautiful example of Greek Revival architecture – so much so that it served as New Orleans’ city hall for a time.

Nowadays, the historic monument is often used as an event venue and hosts important local events, including the mayor’s inauguration.

Named after Irish-born architect James Gallier, responsible for much of the city’s buildings, the building has hosted numerous high-profile guests – including Theodore Roosevelt and many more.

During the Dark Vampire series, the fluted Ionic columns of the White Hall are showcased during the Mardi Gras parade scenes.

Saenger Theater

Although the atmospheric theater was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, it was fortunately restored to its original 1920s design with Greek and Roman statues.

The building’s iconic Greek-style interior is featured several times throughout the show, including in a Mardi Gras scene.
