Nearly two weeks after he burned his face in a domestic accident while trying to start a fire, Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku shared photos showing the extent of his injuries.
The incident occurred on September 29, a Friday, a few days before a game between his team and the Baltimore Ravens.
Despite the burns, which we assumed were significant based on his pre-game attire, Njoku put on his uniform and participated in the game.
During the warm-up phase he had taken care to camouflage his face, thereby solving the mystery of the severity of the burns he had suffered.

Despite the 27-year-old athlete’s presence, the Browns lost 28-3.
Njoku used the final days of a bye week to put an end to speculation on Wednesday, posting a series of photos on his Instagram account, including two showing his face for the first time.
The Cleveland Browns will return to action this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
