The actor Goûchy Boy, who is on trial for sexually abusing a former acquaintance he met on the film set, is said to have created a climate of fear and manipulation in his relationship with her that went so far that she was afraid had to leave him.
“I was his puppet, I no longer thought for myself. I was afraid, I was involved,” confessed the alleged victim of Goûchy Boy during a careful cross-examination.
The actor, whose real name is Ugochukwu Chijoke Onyechekwa, is accused of sexually assaulting, kidnapping and molesting his former girlfriend, whom he met on a film set.

Their initially close relationship quickly spiraled out of control, according to the woman, whose identity is being protected by the court. During a night in a motel room in 2018, he allegedly forced sex even though she refused.
The trial, which began last May, continued today at the Longueuil courthouse. The 52-year-old actor is known for his role as prison guard Koffi Yatabéré in the popular TV series Unité 9 as well as his appearances in 19-2 and Cheval-Serpent, among others.

A bad quarter of an hour
During cross-examination, defense attorney Kristina Markovic questioned the complainant in detail about the text messages sent after the alleged attack.
In the messages addressed to Judge Christian Jarry, she expressed particular concern about Goûchy Boy’s health and even asked him if he had time to see her.
“Why did you offer him that?” Mr. Markovic asked him.
“Many times I fell for his game, we talked again,” explained the woman, who was completely afraid for her safety. He told me that he would never leave me… and that if he left me one day I would feel bad because it would mean I had done something wrong. correct.”
The woman, who testified behind a screen, said she waited until the end of filming to end her relationship with him because she hoped she wouldn’t see him again afterward.
She was also afraid that he would carry out his threats: “He had videos of me naked. He said he would post it on Facebook and give it to my colleagues.”
Ashamed
After their separation, the defendant is said to have gone to his house several times, which is several hours’ drive from his home.
“I tried to leave him several times, but he always came back,” she said. The defendant sitting in the room laughed behind his mask when he heard certain answers.
The complainant was angry with her and even ashamed of having found herself in this situation. “He had me under control. […] I sought counseling and help to get through it,” she explained.
The trial continues tomorrow.
Goûchy Boy had to face a first trial for sexual assault in 2021, but was acquitted. In another case, he faces a third trial for an alleged sexual assault on a person under 14 in 1990.
