Metallica reflected on their experiences at last weekend’s Power Trip, including visiting Judas Priest.
With Metallica headlining on Sunday night, the metal legends arrived early to see Rob Halford and his colleagues the day before, Saturday October 7th.
Some fans in attendance saw and captured frontman James Hetfield and guitarist Kirk Hammett having fun watching Priest from the front row, while the official Metallica Instagram account also shared a very happy photo with the caption: “Pounding the world like.” a drumming ram” (Rapid Feuertexte).
In the latest episode of Metallica’s official podcast, The Metallica Report, Hetfield, Hammett and bassist Rob Trujillo talk about the weekend at Power Trip, and James talks about what it felt like watching Priest and the attention it got him on social media: “We were in the front row. Rob Halford arrived on his motorbike and there were fans behind us watching us. They watched as we enjoyed everything. It was great! We are fans at heart and really wanted to experience it with the audience. So it was a fantastic weekend.”
