‘Big Brother’ 25: A Recurring Target Finally (Finally) Gets the Ax and Becomes First Judge (Recap)

*Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Big Brother Season 25 continues to heat up as we get to the point where evictions really matter! The jury is now filling up, so every houseguest that comes out from now on will ultimately have a say in who becomes the next big winner.

Before Thursday’s live eviction episode began, Bowie Jane had been named Head of Household, and she had put Felicia Cannon on the chopping block – alongside Survivor alum and fan favorite Cirie Fields.

This season it seems that there are no major alliances stable enough to control things, and there is more low-key backstabbing than is actually good for anyone’s game. However, some strong final two deals were forged – namely Matt Klotz and Jag Bains and showmance duo Cory Wurtenberger and America Lopez.

When it came time for the Power of Veto competition, Cirie and Felicia worked hard to win it, but ultimately the victory went to Jag.

All week Jag had been trying to convince Bowie to nominate Cameron Hardin. Meanwhile, Cameron urged Bowie to nominate Cory. Bowie initially decided not to listen to the pressure and stuck to her plan of nominating Felicia and Cirie.

However, Jag, with his power of veto, had the opportunity to twist Bowie’s arm and make her choose a side – and that’s exactly what he did at the beginning of Thursday’s episode when he decided to use the veto use it and take Felicia off the chopping block.

With no real way to retain her original nominations, Bowie went along with Jag’s machinations and brought Cameron back on the map. (For those who need a reminder, Cameron was already kicked out of the house earlier this season, but was given the chance to return due to a surprising twist.)

Cameron didn’t take the nomination particularly well, telling Bowie: “What you’ve shown today is your true character. I hope you can live with it.”

“And I’m actually proud of it,” Bowie replied.

Meanwhile, Cirie, who ruled the house early on but has since moved into the background, was quite happy with the new arrangement.

“If it’s been a few weeks and I’m sitting on the block, my ticket is done. But now I’m kind of fading into the background. It looks like I’m checked out of the game. You never, ever.” I want to be on the block, but sit next to Cameron? Not a bad place,” Cirie shared in a solo interview.

However, when it came time to actually give her appeal speech, Cirie cleverly downplayed her confidence and made a statement that essentially sounded like she was sure her time on the show was over.

“Mom and Dad, I can’t wait to see you, my boys. I miss you. “Honey, next time I get a crazy plan, just say no,” Cirie said, referring to the decision to be with Big Brother first. “And finally to the house guests: thank you for 72 extraordinary days in this house. I won’t forget any of you.”

Cameron, meanwhile, had the same tone and was sarcastic.

“Roommates, if you keep me, I will remain loyal to all of you. “I will never vote to kick you out and I will run all the competitions, I promise,” Cameron deadpanned. “I love you so much. And I hope I can stay with you on this ride.”

In the end, the eviction vote went basically exactly as everyone expected, and Cameron was fired by unanimous vote.

In his farewell interview with host Julie Chen Moonves, Cameron took great responsibility for his own mistakes when asked what went wrong this week.

“There’s a lot of space and time in this house, a lot of time to make a mess, and even though I felt like I was probably in a pretty good place, paranoia creeps in and you say the wrong thing at the wrong time wrong person,” he shared. “That’s what’s happening. I was cornered many times in this game and I have to say this week is probably all for me.”

Back in the house, the remaining houseguests started the next Head of Household competition, and now it’s clear who the main opponents in the house are: Matt and Jag vs. Cory and America. Will Cirie allow them to prevail and walk over the rubble of their battle to victory? Only time can tell.

Big Brother airs several times a week on CBS. Here you can find the schedule for this week.
