“Stay safe and see you on the picket lines next week,” the SAG-AFTRA statement said. The AMPTP broke off talks with the AMPTP on Wednesday after both sides failed to reach an agreement. The AMPTP said the talks had been suspended because the differences between the sides were “too great” and “the talks are no longer moving us in a productive direction”.

Hamas has called for worldwide pro-Palestine demonstrations on Friday. New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Gov. Kathy Hochul said at a news conference Thursday that there were “no credible or specific threats” against the city, NBC reported.

The New York Police Department reiterated that there are “no credible, specific threats to New York City” and said: “We are aware of the concerns raised by the posts circulating online and have continued our uniform deployments at large gatherings and cultural events.” Gatherings increased out of an abundance of caution to ensure public safety.”

The Los Angeles Police Department said it was “aware of recent statements calling for action related to the conflict in the Middle East.” We have no information about specific or credible threats to the city of Los Angeles, we are investigating however, the situation continues to monitor for potential impacts on our communities.”

“We will reach out to our local Jewish and Muslim communities and provide additional patrols during this unimaginable time,” the LAPD statement continued.
