Idan Amedi and Lior Raz, who played Fauda Sagi and Daron Kavillio in the Netflix series, serve in the Israeli army. This week, Amedi, who plays Sagi, shared a video on social media in which he appears in a military uniform and explained that this time it is not fiction.
“It’s not a scene from Fauda. This is the real life. Soldiers arrived here after last Saturday’s attack. I want you to know that our morale is high in these difficult times when we have lost several of our friends. We are here to protect our children, our families and our homes,” he said.
The actor also thanked the people of Israel for their support. “I assure you that we will not stop until we win this war. I would also like to thank the people of Israel. Your letters and drawings make us strong. I love you and hope for better times soon.”
Lior Raz also serves his country. He was seen seeking shelter from fire while taking part in a rescue mission in the southern Israeli city of Sderot, which has been the target of Hamas attacks. Before becoming an actor, Raz was a soldier in an elite Israeli unit.

According to Folha de S. Paulo, Raz joined the group “Brothers in Arms,” an organization that opposes the judicial reform proposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.
