Jean-Philippe Perras listens to Maripier Morin on the radio with her daughter Margot – 7 Days

Jean-Philippe Perras, father of 17-month-old Margot, whom he had with Maripier Morin, is also a busy man as he will appear in two series next winter before returning to the theater and releasing a record in the spring. He spoke openly about his family life and his projects.

Jean-Philippe Perras’ everyday family life has changed a little since the start of the school year. Since Maripier Morin is now co-host of the morning show on WKND, the father is sometimes alone with his baby.

“When I’m not filming, I’m alone with Margot, otherwise my parents or my girlfriend’s parents are there to help us. I love these little moments alone with her. We develop a different dynamic, it’s really fun,” he tells us, adding: “But the best morning is when the three of us get together.” It’s been a long time since that happened because I’ve been touring a lot. The family is doing well, Margot is growing up, she’s great!”

Her daughter doesn’t seem to mind that she no longer sees her mother when she wakes up. “We had already established the routine just before Maripier appeared on the radio; Margot had started daycare. She is obviously a child who adapts very well. She still has the same big smile when she wakes up. She is a real ray of sunshine.” Sometimes Margot is surprised to hear her mother on the radio. “Sometimes we listen to him and when she hears his voice on the radio she always wonders where it comes from. Music, she understands that it’s coming from the radio, but when people talk, she doesn’t realize it yet.”

THE RETURN OF THE EMPEROR
Jean-Philippe Perras will take on the role of Christian again in the second season of the series “The Emperor”, which will be broadcast in Noovo this winter. “I couldn’t wait to see him again. I didn’t stop thinking about him because I knew very quickly that we would have a second season. When the texts came in, I read the first episode and immediately texted the director, Adam Kosh, to ask him what we were going to do with all of this. I then read the other episodes, which were always written by Michelle Allen, because I couldn’t stop because so much was happening!”

Although the subject may seem difficult, the series is watched with interest because we always hope that Christian falls victim to the accusations and pays for what he did to the women. “During filming, I had the impression that I was doing another series because we saw and experienced the emperor when he was dominant, victorious, proud and solid, but here we are really wondering where he can stand in this posture. The second season will show us.”

At the same time, we tell ourselves that this type of character cannot afford to be weak, otherwise it would be his end. “Exactly. He may cry and suffer in secret, but he will always fight and stand up for it. But how far can he go? We’ll see. We’ll stay on the edge of our seats until the end of the second season. The final scenes are powerful, we were really exhausted at the end of the day.

OTHER PROJECTS
We will also see Jean-Philippe Perras in the role of Lucas in Nuit Blanche. We remember that the series was separated from Radio-Canada before being reborn on Prime. “We are very pleased with this unexpected sequel. We are resuming this investigation without the police. My character is still obsessed with his quest: to find out who killed his mother. He also wonders about his father; he still doesn’t know who he is. I would say this season is even more dynamic. According to the actor, the filming conditions did not change as a result of the channel change.

Finally, next spring he will also star in the play Lysis directed by Lorraine Pintal at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, replacing David Boutin. He will also release his group Gustafson’s second album in 2024.

The second season of the series follows next winter The emperor will be broadcast on Noovo and by Sleepless night is offered on Prime.
