Danny DeVito 78 confirms there are plans for a Matilda

Danny DeVito, 78, confirms there are plans for a Matilda reunion with lead actress Mara Wilson, 36, “soon”.

Danny DeVito has confirmed exciting Matilda reunion plans alongside leading lady Mara Wilson.

The 78-year-old actor who played Harry Wormwood and the 36-year-old actress who played Matilda are planning to collaborate on a concert version of the 1996 film “soon.”

If the proposal goes ahead, the pair will narrate the film to a live score by composer David Newman.

According to The Messenger, Danny said: “Mara and I had planned to perform Matilda live with the New Jersey Philharmonic Orchestra shortly before the strike.”

“We had everything prepared, but after the strike we couldn’t continue because it would be seen as an advertisement for a film.”

“We’re still planning on that though. We’ll watch the film with David Newman’s score and try to do it soon as it looks like the strike is coming to an end, I hope!”

This comes after Danny opened up about his iconic career, admitting he was never upset about never becoming a traditional “leading man” in Hollywood.

The actor made his feature film debut in 1975’s Best Picture-winning One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and while he has had a long and successful career spanning nearly five decades, he hasn’t had too many leading roles during that time.

The actor promoted his role in Disney’s “The Haunted Mansion,” which debuted in third place at the box office this weekend, in an interview with Parade, revealing that he’s perfectly happy where he is.

DeVito was neighbors with Brad Pitt when he was married to Jennifer Aniston, and he was asked if he was “glad” he never became a big movie star like Pitt.

“I’m not celebrating the fact that I’m not Clark Gable.” “I’m celebrating being who I am,” DeVito said.

He was also asked if he ever aspired to be a “full-time leading man” like Pitt, adding that Brad was one of his favorites.

“I’m a big fan of Brad and Humphrey Bogart and [Jack] Nicholson and Leonardo. The painter, not the actor. Just kidding!’ DeVito joked.

Reunion: If the proposal continues, the two will narrate the film to a live score by composer David Newman (1996).

“You know, we all have a place. “I imagined my spot would be closer to Peter Lorre or Edward G. Robinson or even WC Fields,” DeVito admitted.

When asked what it was like to live next to Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, the actor had nothing but great things to say about them.

“They had a very private, beautiful home and were great neighbors. And they had a huge hedge and a gate,” DeVito began.

“Brad, God bless him, was very protective of his family.” “I was walking to work or coming out of the driveway and saw one of the tour buses,” he continued.

“People stood in front of this hedge and had their photos taken.” All you could see was the hedge! But it’s protecting Brad and Jennifer, and that’s something significant. “Maybe they took a leaf and put it in a book as a souvenir,” he joked.

He was also asked if it was a “thriller” to star in a big-budget, major studio film like Disney’s “The Haunted Mansion” at this point in his career.
