PLO calls for an end to Israeli aggression and rejects the expulsion of Palestinians

Ramallah, October 15 (Prensa Latina) The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) today called for an end to Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and rejected the expulsion of its residents under that country’s orders.

“We both agree that international pressure is needed to stop the bombings of the enclave and urgently open humanitarian channels for its people,” he stressed.

Al-Sheikh similarly announced yesterday that both the Palestinian government and the PLO are establishing contacts with numerous countries to stop the aggression.

This Saturday I spoke by telephone with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi, as well as with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman, he wrote yesterday.

Al-Sheikh called for protecting Palestinian civilians and preventing the displacement of more than a million people, following the directive of the neighboring country’s authorities.

In this regard, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned that genocide is taking place in the Gaza Strip and called for pressure on Israel to stop its bombing of this area, where more than 2,380 citizens died.

As part of the campaign, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yesterday had a telephone conversation with his US counterparts, Joe Biden, and Brazilian counterparts, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The PLO consists of numerous parties and is recognized by the international community as “the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.”
