Israel: exclusion zone in the border area with Lebanon news

After repeated attacks on Israel by the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia from southern Lebanon, the Israeli army declared a four-kilometer-wide strip of the border area a restricted zone. The Israeli army announced today that it is prohibited to enter this area. Civilians living there “up to two kilometers from the border are instructed to remain close to shelters,” he said.

The use of GPS-based navigation systems will also be restricted in active combat zones. Civilians in the region need to know that this could lead to disruption.

According to Israeli doctors, a person aged approximately 40 was killed today in a new attack on Israel by the Hezbollah militia. Hezbollah said it fired a rocket at Israeli positions near the demarcation line. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli army responded with artillery fire.

Since Islamic Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel and the Israeli army’s counterattacks in the Gaza Strip, there have been regular incidents on the Israel-Lebanon border in recent days, raising concerns about further escalation.
