It is R. Couri HaySuzanne Somers’ longtime publicist, who shared the sad news on behalf of the actress’ family and announced her death on Sunday morning, the eve of her birthday.
“Suzanne Somers died peacefully at home in the early hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.”
The actress found final solace in her husband, Alanhis son Bruce and his immediate family, who gathered to celebrate his 77th birthday. However, fate decided otherwise.
In lieu of birthday celebrations, the family will now come together to honor the extraordinary life of Suzanne Somers. According to the press release, the family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the millions of fans and admirers who have generously cared for the actress throughout her career.
The publicist also announced that a private funeral service for the family will be held this week, followed by a memorial service planned for November.
