A White House announced this Monday (16) the cancellation of a trip that President Joe Biden was scheduled to make today to the state of Colorado, at a time when several media outlets are talking about one Possible visit to Israel this week.
Biden will remain in Washington to “participate in meetings on national security issues,” according to a brief statement from the US executive branch.
“There was an invitation from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” White House spokesman John Kirby told an American television channel this Monday (16). However, “there is no trip I can talk about right now,” he added.
Biden’s intention is to “remain focused on what is happening between Israel and Hamas,” the spokesman added. The 80yearold Democrat was scheduled to travel to Colorado to tour a wind tower factory.

The American press guarantees that authorities from Israel and the United States are talking about a possible visit by Biden, who promised “unwavering” support after the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7.
This would not be Biden’s first trip to a country at war, as he was in Ukraine in February after preparations for the visit were kept completely secret. The American president also visited Israel in July 2022.

Deaths in the Israel x Hamas conflict
Gaza officials said at least 2,750 people have been killed by Israeli strikes so far, a quarter of them children, and nearly 10,000 have been injured. Another 1,000 people are missing and are believed to be under rubble.
As the humanitarian crisis worsens and there are shortages of food, fuel and water, hundreds of tons of aid from several countries have been held up in Egypt until an agreement is reached on its safe delivery to Gaza and some foreign passport holders are evacuated from the Rafah border crossing.
On Monday (16), Egyptian security sources told Portal that an agreement had been reached to open the border crossing and allow aid deliveries to the enclave.
But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement: “There is currently no ceasefire or humanitarian assistance in Gaza in exchange for the departure of foreigners.”
The top military spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, also said there was no ceasefire in Gaza and Israel was continuing its attacks.
