Madonna reveals her four Malawian children thank her for “giving them a better life”… but insists “THEY saved THEM” as she gives an emotional speech during a tour in London

Madonna has declared that she was “saved” by her children.

The 65-year-old singer kicked off her Celebration Tour at London’s O2 Stadium on Sunday and five of her six children performed to the delight of the audience.

The cameo began with 11-year-old Estere showing off her dance moves to the 1990s hit “Vogue” while being judged by her mother and 27-year-old sister Lourdes. The star’s four adopted children come from Malawi.

Estere’s twin sister Stella then performed on her 2000 hit “Don’t Tell Me,” while Mercy, 17, and David, 18, showed off their musical prowess by playing piano on 1992’s “Bad Girl.” “Mother” and “Father” from 2003 played guitar.

Madonna adopted David in 2006 when he was 13 months old. He was born in Lipunga village in western Malawi. Mercy was adopted in 2007 when she was four years old and suffering from malaria.

She said: “It is a great honor for me to not only be on stage with my children every night, but also to pay tribute to his mother and hopefully all mothers.” We all have maternal connections in one way or another. .

“My kids always say to me, ‘Thank you, Mom, for giving us a better life,’ and I say to them, ‘No, you, you saved me.'”

The Music singer continued to urge fans to “make a difference in the world.”

She said: “In these dark and crazy times, we must remember that even if our hearts break, our souls cannot be broken.”

“Each of us has the opportunity to light our own light. Each of us is a candle in the world. So take the opportunity to be a light in the world and you will make a difference.”

At the start of her performance, Madonna reflected on her days as a struggling dancer as she implored the audience to “never forget” her roots.

“I never forget my roots, and neither should you.” Never forget where you come from. Anyway, when I came to New York with $35 to become a dancer, it was all true…

“I was tired of being broke and hungry and homeless and scared and lonely and all those things, so I decided to become a musician and bought a guitar and taught myself how to write songs… I continued to be broke and hungry.” and homeless and scared and lonely.

“But it got me here.” I’m grateful for those early days of struggle, and you know what? I’m still struggling, it’s funny how life never changes.

“Never put yourself in a bubble where you can’t remember the fight, stay close to people, stay close to your past, always stay close to your true self.”

Madonna shares Lourdes with her ex Carlos Leon, whom she dated from 1995 to 1997.

In 2019, she gushed about her daughter, saying, “I’m green with envy because she’s incredible in everything she does…”

“She’s an incredible dancer, she’s a great actress, she plays the piano beautifully, she’s way better than me in the talent department. But she doesn’t have the same drive.”

Rocco is her son with ex-husband Guy Richie.

They were married from 2000 to 2008. In 2016, Guy waged a bitter nine-month custody battle with Madonna over where their son should live.

The Sherlock Holmes director reached an agreement with the pop star just hours before her court date in New York.

Guy’s lawyer Peter Bronstein said outside court that the then 16-year-old would continue to live with his father in London.

Despite the highly publicized fight, things have clearly calmed down as he enjoyed time with his mother and siblings. The couple was married from 2000 to 2008

Madonna adopted David in 2006 when he was 13 months old.

He was born in the village of Lipunga in western Malawi, Africa.

Talking about their similarities, she said: “What he has more than anything is focus and determination.” I’m pretty sure he got it from me…

“He’s the one I have the most in common with…”

I feel like he understands me; He has more of my DNA than any of my children to date. Let’s see what happens – it’s still early days for everyone.”

Mercy, also from Malawi, was adopted in 2007 when she was four years old and suffering from malaria.

In a stunning display of love, Mercy previously told her mother: “Even though sometimes I think, ‘Oh my God, I can’t cope at the moment’.” But I really love you and want to thank you for everything, mom.

“I know you’re going through a tough time right now with your hip and all the injuries, but I want to say that you’re a really strong person. ‘You deserve everything you want.’

“You look into someone’s eyes, you feel their soul, you feel touched by them – that’s all.”
