The spokesman for AlQassam Brigademilitary arm of the Hamas, Abu ObeidaHe spoke this Monday the 16th about the situation of those kidnapped by the group. According to Al Jazeera news agency Abu Obeida confirmed the presence of foreigners among the hostages and promised to release them when “circumstances permit.”

“We consider you our guests. “As soon as circumstances permit, we will release them,” he said. The spokesman emphasized that it was not possible to know the life course or nationality of the people at the time of their abduction.

Abu Obeida reported that a total of between 200 to 250 people were captured by the Hamas military brigade. There are around 200 with the group, but there are also other hostages in other Hamas factions.

The spokesman also said the prisoners would be treated well in accordance with “the Islamic faith.” According to him, 22 of the hostages were killed during Israeli bombing raids.
