Preta Gil was on “De Frente com Blogueirinha” this Monday (16) and talked about her “difficult year”, as she called it. In addition to the fight against colon cancer, she has also been facing a separation from Rodrigo Godoy in recent months.
“I don’t punish myself. From the first day I felt sick and the doctor came with the diagnosis, I knew that I had to figure it all out and deal with it. I didn’t punish myself, “Why me?”, no, no. “Obviously I don’t romanticize, I’ve had my moments of sadness,” she confessed.
“I thought the illness was my biggest problem, and it is definitely my biggest problem because it’s about my health, I couldn’t be here right now and talk to you. But life there, dissatisfied with this whole affair, still came to an end. “Separation, I had septicemia, I almost died,” said Preta. “But I’m here. I went there, the lowest point, as my mother says, has a source. I hit rock bottom and came back with the support of many people,” he added.
She also explained that she had to change her entire routine due to the treatment. “I haven’t officially worked for 10 months. I don’t do shows. When I found myself, I was at home and needed to focus my life on healing. My life today is focused on my treatment,” he said.
Sometimes Preta is ready to leave home, work and meet friends. This happened during Marina Sena’s birthday party which she attended recently. But as soon as she got there, the singer felt sick and had to return home.

“Treatment is very difficult. I often lay on the floor, bedridden and unable to get up. I have again undergone oral chemotherapy, which I am doing and which has side effects. “I’m taking a week off from chemotherapy so I can be here, I managed to work last week,” he explained.
Preta confirmed that the treatment had not yet been completed: “This issue is very sensitive in oncological treatment. We wait a long time until the cycles close and the doctor says: ‘You are cured’. Healing is a process that will then take about five years,” he explained.
The singer, who underwent surgery to remove colon cancer in August, confirmed that she will undergo a new procedure soon, perhaps next month. She also talked about using an ileostomy bag, a device that attaches to the body and helps remove feces.
“I have an ileostomy bag. I am very grateful for that today. When I put it on I was very upset about it, I hated it, now it’s my best friend,” he said.
