Vietnam is committed to multilateralism and economic connectivity

The fact that the head of state is attending this meeting is of great importance both bilaterally and multilaterally, Vice Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said here.

Against the backdrop of a slow global economic recovery, he said, Van Thuong’s participation demonstrates Vietnam’s strong commitment to multilateralism and to strengthening regional and global economic cooperation and connectivity.

At the bilateral level, it is now a high-level activity in the field of foreign relations and is taking place precisely in the year that marks the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership, he stressed.

According to Minh Vu, the Vietnamese president will meet with key Chinese leaders during his stay in Beijing, Minh Vu said in statements amplified by the VNA news agency.

He estimated that this will help strengthen political trust, maintain the momentum of relations and create new opportunities for cooperation to promote healthier, stable and sustainable development of the comprehensive strategic cooperation alliance signed in 2008.

In recent press statements, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai said Van Thuong’s participation in the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation confirms the high regard and priority that Vietnam attaches to its relations with the neighboring country.

This is an opportunity for the leaders of both countries to continue discussing measures aimed at achieving common, high-level vision and promoting the ever deeper and practical development of the comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership, he stressed.

According to the diplomat, Van Thuong will deliver key policy speeches at the meeting that will reaffirm Vietnam’s commitment to promoting peace, cooperation, economic integration and regional connectivity, as well as deepening relations with countries around the world.

The photo, in turn, provides an opportunity to showcase the achievements of the Indochinese country’s socio-economic development and attract international resources, especially for green and digital transformation and inclusive growth.
